The JAC serves 49 judicial-related offices (JROs). These include the offices of the State Attorneys, the Public
Defenders, the Capital Collateral Regional Counsels, the Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsels, and the
Statewide Guardian ad Litem Office. Administrative services provided to these offices are primarily in the areas of
accounting, budget, financial services, and human resources. JAC also reviews bills for legal services provided to
indigent defendants and certain parties represented by private court-appointed attorneys and associated due process
service vendors (court reporters, investigators, and experts) for contractual and financial compliance.
It is JAC’s policy to make public records accessible in accordance with Florida Law. However, JAC does not maintain
additional records beyond those necessary to provide administrative services to the offices it serves or review bills
from private court-appointed attorneys and associated due process vendors. For this reason, JAC cannot produce records
that are not in JAC’s custody, including but not limited to: property records, body camera footage, and education records.
Accordingly, JAC will make a good faith effort to assure a thorough response to requests for records maintained by this office.
